Sandy Township is located along Interstate 80, and at the intersections of routes US-219, US-119, US-322, PA-255, and PA-830. Getting here is easy, traveling from the East or West on I-80, we are exits 97 and 101. From the North, just follow US-219 South, and it’ll bring you right through here. And from the South, follow US-219 or US-119 North, and you’ll find us. Just East of here, is the highest point on Interstate 80 that is East of the Mississippi River!
Along with our network of major roadways that intersect the Township, the DuBois Regional Airport is located just seven miles west at Exit 90 on I-80. The airport offers commercial and general aviation services to the area. Whether traveling via commuter service on Continental Airlines through Cleveland International Airport or by private or corporate aircraft, the DuBois Regional Airport is the area’s connection you need to beautiful Northwestern PA and the PA Wilds.
Located within Sandy Township is DuFAST Transit. The DuBois, Falls Creek, Sandy Township Joint Transportation Authority, also known as DuFAST, has been an asset to the community since it began operations on July 1, 1974. Incorporated as a municipal authority and funded in part by federal, state and local dollars, DuFAST has been offering fixed route bus service to area residents for for over 35 years.
