Meetings are the first and third Monday of each month and are open to the public. Located at the Sandy Township municipal building.
Sandy Township’s Board of Supervisors has specific executive and legislative powers that are laid out in the Pennsylvania Second Class Township Code. They are empowered to appoint all members to the various boards, authorities, and commissions. They have the vote for final approval of all township business; such as awarding contracts/bids, proceeding with planned projects, new hires, budgets, economic development, etc. Such votes are decided by the majority vote of the board members. This board also serves as the board for the Municipal Authority (water & sewer).
The board is comprised of 5 supervisors who are elected at large by the township population and each serve for a term of 6 years. The current board members are:

Mr. Beers is a lifelong resident of Sandy Township. He was raised and still resides in the West Sandy area. Bill is a 25-year member of Sandy Hose Co. #1 of the Sandy Twp. Volunteer Fire Department. He is serving his third term as Sandy Twp. Fire Department Chief and has been company chief of Sandy Hose Co. #1 for the last 19 years. Bill is a warehouse supervisor for Hunting Titan in DuBois. Mr. Abbott has been a Sandy Township resident since 1987. he has spent over 38 years in the public school system holding various positions from elementary school teacher, middle school math teacher, and athletic director. Mr. Abbott has a long history of sport officiating accomplishments in baseball, football, basketball, and track and field. Now retired, he enjoys spending time with his wife, 3 kids, 7 grandkids, hunting, fishing, and volunteering time with the American Legion improving life for Veterans in the area.
