This area is blessed to have the vast amount of choices for education from public schools to private academies, to technical training and college education. It is rare for any rural community to possess such a wide variety of schools.

The DuBois Area School District is the area’s public school system. It is comprised of a high school, middle school, 8 elementary schools, an administrative office, and a maintenance building. Grades taught here are from from Kindergarten through 12th, culminating in a high school diploma.

The DuBois Area Catholic School is the area’s private academy. It is comprised of a high school, middle school, and elementary school all in one. Grades taught here from from Pre-School/Daycare through 12th, culminating in a high school diploma.

Jeff Tech is the area’s technical high school and college. Graduates from Jeff Tech are not only with a high school diploma, but also with a certificate or professional certification/license in a specialized career field. Grades taught here from from 10th through 12th, as well as adult education classes.

Penn State – DuBois Campus offers nine Associate Degrees (Business, Human Development & Family Studies, Information Sciences & Technology, Letters, Arts, & Sciences, Materials Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Wildlife Technology), six Bachelor’s Degrees (Business, Earth Sciences, General Engineering, Human Development & Family Studies, Information Sciences & Technology, Letters, Arts, & Sciences, as well as the first two years of almost all of Penn State’s 160 baccalaureate degree programs.

The DuBois Business College has Associate in Specialized Business degree and diploma programs that you can complete in 21 months or less.

Triangle Tech – DuBois offers 5 Associate in Specialized Technology Degrees in: Architectural Computer-Aided Drafting & Design Technology, Mechanical Computer-Aided Drafting & Design Technology, Maintenance Electricity & Construction Technology, Carpentry & Construction Technology, and Welding & Fabrication Technology.

The Pennsylvania Academy of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences prepares students for entry into the field of cosmetology. PA requires that all cosmetologists be licensed and the PACA prepares students to take the exams necessary.
